grains+legumes

I've just added brown rice and cooked sprouted lentils into my diet (day 2). My meal so far:

breakfast: extra-weak mild coffee with a ton of raw cream

lunch: snacked on dried coconut flakes, 1/4-1/2 serving of wild-caught pink salmon, 1/4 cup long-grain basmati rice, 1/4 cup sprouted lentils, 1TBS butter, raw sea/dulse saurkraut, 1/2 bar of 70% dark chocolate

1/2 packet mild coffee + raw cream

So far, my mood is fantastic. Upbeat, energetic, my face and tummy look thinner. Most importantly: no depression. Mild twinge when talking about my ex-husband at preschool today, but overall happy mood. One meal a day is working for me. I feel decadent, I'm loving the raw cream and super weak coffee. I feed the same meal to the kids at lunchtime (minus coffee of course), and raw honey+raw bison for breakfast. The effect on my daughter's mood is dramatic - no mood swings, just calm, happy alert girl.

I'm basing this on the mice study by Dr. Bass in the 1940's, Japanese eating habits, Aajonus Vonderplanitz, and Primal Parent. Zero carb eating and primal eating in general caused me to gain weight, get grouchy and look old. So far (day 2 of one meal a day) I feel youthful and I look youthful. I'm piecing things together - completely surprised that cooked rice+lentils+raw dairy work for me. I could try removing the dairy but I like my superweak coffee too much. Quality of life issue - I want to feel good and happy with this way of eating, not deprived and grumpy. So far, so good!
